Hello Arts students!
Good news! The Students’ Association of the Faculty of Arts (SAFA) has organized many events for the month of November. If you have time to take a break between your midterms and your never-ending essays, you should join in on the fun. Here is a brief break down of our upcoming events.
- Wine and Cheese
- We are hosting a Wine and Cheese November 2nd from 6pm to 9pm in Café Alt. This will be an excellent opportunity for students and professors to interact outside of a class room.
- Service Awareness Week
- The SAFA is hosting our annual Service Awareness Week from November 7th to November 11th. This week is dedicated to informing students about services offered on campus and throughout the local community. The week will include presentations, a scavenger hunt, and two free meals. Great prizes are to be won!
- Jail Party
- On November 26th, the SAFA is hosting Jail Party in honour of all the great criminals’ moustaches. The party will be held at the Ottawa Jail Hostel at 75 Nicholas Street. Groom your mo’s and come join the fun.
- Movember
- During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for prostate cancer. We encourage all the Mo Bros to find a Mo Sista and join the SAFA online team at http://mobro.co/Arts. Send the link to your family and friends and ask them to support your fine moustachery.
- Apparel
- Finally, the SAFA is once again selling apparel. This year we are selling t-shirts for 17$, baseball tees for 20$, and hoodies for 40$, all of which are have the ARTS logo printed on them. Stop by the SAFA office (0035 Simard) to try on sizes… We have apparel in stock!
We hope to see you all soon!!
